چکیده

Obesity is a chronic multifactorial disease characterized by excess adiposity. Adipose tissue hypertrophy favors lipid deposition in ectopic tissues, such as the liver, which development of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver (MAFLD), excessive accumulation lipids cytoplasm hepatocytes (fatty liver). Triglyceride overload observed obesity associated with inflammation and insulin resistance status. Non-pharmacological strategies, practice physical exercise, seem to be an effective reducing inflammatory markers improving sensitivity obese individuals MAFLD attenuating hepatocellular steatosis. Thus, this review aims demonstrate factors involved hepatic steatosis, well investigate impact exercise on condition obesity-associated MAFLD.

Exercise training reverses endothelial dysfunction in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Endothelial dysfunction is an early manifestation of atherosclerosis and an important prognostic marker for future cardiovascular events. The aim of this study was twofold: to examine 1) the association between liver fat, visceral adipose tissue (VAT), and endothelial dysfunction in obese NA...

Impact of Visceral Fat on the Metabolic Syndrome and Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Visceral fat has been reported to be associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and the metabolic syndrome (MetS). We assessed the prevalence of both NAFLD and the MetS, measured visceral fat thickness VFT), and estimated the physical activity indexes of 224 relatively healthy hospital workers. We also investigated the associations between both VFT and physical activity index and ...

Physical activity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, characterized by elevated liver enzymes, central obesity, and insulin resistance, is becoming increasingly prevalent. The effects of changes in physical activity on the metabolic profile of this group have not been reported. We assessed at 3 months the impact of a behavior change-based lifestyle intervention on physical activity and the effects of this change o...
